In 2015 Graffito was engaged to assist Jamestown in the development of a retail kiosk program for the then-sleepy and recently renamed “Innovation and Design Building” in Boston’s Seaport District. Graffito worked with Jamestown on the design and then tenanting of 8 custom shipping containers, which became home to a barber shop, various food & beverage concepts, a general store, and a florist. Of late The Containers @ IDB have become a local model and often sited best-practice case study for successful temporary and small format retail.
