PROJECT OVERVIEW

The name SwitchPoint was inspired by The Granite Railway of Quincy, which was the first commercial railroad in the United States and introduced many innovations, specifically the railway switch. Simply put, the switch point’s function was to enable trains to change from one direction to another. Now, SwitchPoint Quincy symbolizes a similar turning point for the city as it embraces the life sciences community, which will bring much needed commercial development and jobs to the downtown area as well as support the City’s longstanding plans to revitalize Quincy Center.
