Open Space Relief

Open Space Relief

While normally not our primary preoccupation, the urban neighborhoods where Graffito has projects are proximate to some incredible parks. Typically, our focus is on the main streets and downtown business districts where people congregate around food, beverage, and entertainment. But during a pandemic, people #stayhome or safely seek fresh air. The current COVID pandemic has given us an opportunity – particularly those of us with small children – to deliberately explore some of these parks in cities like Quincy, Somerville, and Malden. It’s a reminder that urban neighborhoods need balance and open space relief. When the weather warms up, there will be more people out, providing a small, but meaningful window into these communities. Included below is a strategically curated list of parks to visit, tailored to Graffito’s current and historic client base, and biased to the waterfront. Images below feature a certain intrepid almost-four year old, who will not be kept indoors. There are silver linings in all of this.
