13th Annual Graffito (it’s not just a) Food Crawl last week. Destination: Raleigh Durham. Why: because we’ve been hearing for years about “the next Kendall Square” down there and reading headlines like this one in the Boston Globe last week “Boston’s biotech supremacy is at risk. Will a new city Emerge as the leader of the life sciences industry?” Super timely!

We know competing with Greater Boston for top talent and corporate tenants is about lots more than just labs and new office space, but also about retail, food & beverage, placemaking, transit, and walkability. So we felt like a visit was in order….Teaser: RDU is cool (and the food and bev was great), but not so walkable, nor does it have much public transit…but when it comes to playgrounds and parks, they may just have us beat!
