I’ve been writing and talking a lot lately about our (i) advisory & place-making projects and (ii) new gigs outside of Cambridge, MA. And while we indeed continue to expand our reach beyond brokerage services and outside of Cambridge, MA, we’re still as dug in as ever in good ol’ Cambridge, Massachusetts and hustling like usual on a slew of traditional retail leasing assignments there. As follows are term sheets for a few new projects (2 projects; 4 spaces for lease) within walking distance from our HQ in Kendall Square:
1) KENDALL SQUARE – Alexandria Center Kendall Square

We’ve been planning and performing due diligence work on ACKS retail for over a year and are thrilled to finally bring these three retail storefronts to market for lease. Our work with Alexandria over the past five years has spawned some of our favorite projects of all time, starting with Area Four in Technology Square (circa 2010), which has become one of Cambridge’s most popular restaurants and has since grown to include an outpost in Somerville, a food truck and a coffee kiosk on the other side of Kendall Sq.
2) CENTRAL SQUARE – 505 Massachusetts Ave

This is the first new retail opportunity in the Normandy / Twining Properties portfolio named and known as “Mass + Main”, which consists of a handful of existing buildings and new development that will come to market over the next few years across 2.3 acres smack in the middle of Central Square. Keep an eye out — this project will house some of the best new retail in Cambridge over the next half-decade and is a project the GSP team has been super excited about since we started work on it in early 2013.
